"The desert is the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen... because we don't even succeed in imagining how big it is neither where ends... One who tries its feeling of mystery and united immensity has a sense of loneliness but also of unbelievable Freedom..."
(Amelié Potevin)
From the apotheosis of the modernity of Dubai to the immensity of the desert, the footstep is briefer than that that one can imagine.
As soon as you go out of the city Dubai, taking highway 22, it crosses a part of the Arabic Emirates that actually reaches the Black Sea, it immediately finds us in the middle of the dunes in the desert.
But the most beautiful desert is surely that situated among the cities of Al Ain and Abu Dhabi that together with Dubai they form a triangle in the center of the country, with every one of the cities that are around 150 km of distance by highway from one to another. It is also a practicable itinerary in only one day.
No trees, no vegetation, no noise, no houses. You lose yourself looking over the immense dunes of sand that seem to have no end. You have the impression to be alone in the world, or even better totally out of the world.
The only sign of life is given by the meeting with groups of camels that walk in serenity in what is their natural habitat in this immense territory that is the Desert.
